Stack Overflow Launches
16 September 2008 in Linux & Programming & Software | Comments (0)
What a cool new website.
Stack Overflow has been upgraded to public beta. Right now, I would say its going to be a cool resource for programmers.
I been hearing about this project for months mainly from Jeff and Joel (from the team) and this is my first look at it, and I must say it is very well built. I still have my doubts on some features like the badges, but I like a lot some others like the points system where you have more power of editing when you contribute more (Once the system learns to trust you, you’ll be able to edit anything, much like Wikipedia).
The description from the site:
Stack Overflow is a programming Q & A site that’s free. Free to ask questions, free to answer questions, free to read, free to index, built with plain old HTML, no fake rot13 text on the home page, no scammy google-cloaking tactics, no salespeople, no JavaScript windows dropping down in front of the answer asking for $12.95 to go away. You can register if you want to collect karma and win valuable flair that will appear next to your name, but otherwise, it’s just free. And fast. Very, very fast.

If you haven’t seen, and are interested in all WPF stuff like I am, check out the WPF Boot Camp 2008 videos site.
There is a lot of great content there, including some of the best speakers in the WPF world.
The website requires Silverlight Beta 2 to run. If don’t have installed and don’t intend to install, you can download directly from here.
Lost in Project Euler
16 February 2008 in Fun & Personal Experience & Programming | Comments (1)
As you may already noticed I haven’t posted in some time. The reason I’ve been neglecting the blog, is mainly because of school exams and the recently found Project Euler.
Since I discovered this site, I was instantly addicted.
Unlike programming challenges like TopCoder or UVa Online Judge, Project Euler don’t require you to submit any sort of code, with any kind of limitation in presentation or speed. The only data you need to submit is the right number for each problem. You can make your application in any language with any speed, as long as you can find the right number.
I really recommend you to try it. I will definitely make you a better programmer and if you’re just as geek like me, It will give you some fun.
I’m already at Top 1000, and I don’t seem to be stopping soon.
Meanwhile, I will try to make more regular posting.
Johnny Lee does it again!

Johnny Lee, a guy that doesn’t need introduction, has made again a superb demonstration using only Wii hardware featuring head-tracking.
As Michael Battle said, “you’d better loosen your shoes, because this is about to knock your socks off!”.
Its video (below) shows it all:
I was totally impressed, as I’m sure you will be too…
You should check its Wii projects, because there’s even more cool stuff there.
